Amy Pace is the Writing Center Coordinator and educator. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Iowa. With a passion for writing, teaching, and working with students, Amy has been a lifelong learner and career educator. She has taught English and College Success courses at Johnson County Community College, been a full-time faculty member and Honors Coordinator at the University of Saint Mary and came to KCKCC in July 2024. She is married with two grown children, two dogs, and two cats. Her hobbies include writing, reading, compulsive cleaning, and running.
Sarah Cole is our new Math Tutoring Coordinator. She comes to KCKCC from MCC where she was a Learning Specialist and Learning Center Coordinator for 5 years. During this time, she worked closely with students by providing student centered tutoring and content to students in a variety of subjects, particularly math and math related courses. She also coordinated tutoring and oversaw the day to day activities in the Learning Center. She dedicated herself to working closely with students in CTE programs and providing math support to these students in their content courses. She enjoys learning and takes a student-centered approach to learning and teaching. Sarah has also tutored math from basic to differential equations and taught High School English in Japan for two years.
She holds a master's degree in Mathematics from UMKC (2019), a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from KU (2007), and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Truman State University.
Adoria F. Wilson holds a master's degree in Adult Occupational & Continuing Education from Kansas State University, a bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and Human Services from St. Mary University, and an Associates degree in General Studies from Kansas City Kansas Community College. Adoria has been employed in customer service for over 30 years in various not-for-profit organizations. She spent 12 years working as an Employment Specialist with clients that were on probation or parole. She taught life skills, employment skills, and helped them to seek employment. Her favorite past time activities are reading, writing, baking, entertaining family and friends & enjoying life to the fullest.
Hi, I’m a former student of KCKCC where I received my associate degree in science. From there I went on to graduate from Emporia State University with a BSE in Mathematics Education. As an educator and now Administrative Assistant, my goal is to help students and colleagues to have a smoother experience in their day-to-day here at the main campus.
Mary Ann works at the TEC Learning Commons at the front desk. She holds a B.A. in Studio Art from Benedictine College and has worked in various aspects of customer service for over 10 years. In her free time, she enjoys making watercolor art, playing Dungeons and Dragons, watching horror movies, anime, and cat videos, and reading manga.
