Request a tutor. Tutor requests begin August 12, 2024.

Tutoring Statement

Learning Services strives to provide supplemental academic support and encourages independent learning for KCKCC students. The tutor’s responsibility is to help students better understand key concepts. Tutors are not responsible for re-teaching course material. Tutors will help students to the best of their ability; consequently, the student maintains ownership for the grade they receive on assignments and in their courses. Students receiving tutoring must be currently enrolled and actively attending the KCKCC course for which they are requesting tutoring.

Learning Services matches trained peer tutors with students needing content area tutoring for their classes. Individualized tutoring sessions are available at all KCKCC locations in person or via Zoom. For online learners, Tutor.com is our tutoring platform of choice that provides synchronous and asynchronous access to tutors 24/7 and 355 days a year. Tutor.com allows the online student population access to real-time tutoring from any location in the world with an internet connection. To request an individual tutor click here.

All tutoring requests will be screened by Learning Services. Great effort is taken to fill requests within 7 business days; however, a tutor cannot be guaranteed. It is the student’s responsibility to check back with the program for status of submitted requests. The last day to request a tutor is one week prior to the final course withdraw deadline.
