Learning Services strives to provide supplemental academic support and encourages independent learning for KCKCC students. The tutor’s responsibility is to help students better understand key concepts. Tutor are not responsible for re-teaching course material. Tutors will help students to the best of their ability; consequently, the student maintains ownership for the grade they receive on assignments and in their courses. Students receiving tutoring must be currently enrolled and actively attending the KCKCC course for which they are requesting tutoring.
All tutoring requests will be screened by Learning Services. Great effort is taken to fill requests within 7 business days; however, a tutor cannot be guaranteed. It is the student’s responsibility to check back with the program for status of submitted requests. The last day to request a tutor is one week prior to the final course withdraw deadline. Students taking non-credit coursework are not eligible for tutoring.
